M64 home page
Welcome to the M64 home page.
Here you will find the latest updates of M64 and related files.
You can read the manual online or download it in AscII format.
I have the manual in other formats (PET AscII 40 column, 80 column and GEOWrite).
If you are interested in those versions, just ask for them and I'll send them or put them here.
What is it?
M64 is a program that will turn your C64 into a synth module. All you need is
a MIDI interface that is either Passport, Datel or Sequential-compatible.
To enable users to create good sounds, M64 provides an abstract assembly-like
language (ASL). ASL programs are supposed to read MIDI controllers and act on
key presses. Read the manual for more information.
Download M64
Since M64 nowadays is freeware you can download the registered version here.
Manual
The manual in two formats:
ASL program library
ASL programs are stored in two different file formats. Consult the M64 manual
for transfer instructions.
Do you make ASL programs that you wish to share? Contact me
and I will add them to the library.
Last minute note
M64 will not work with Action Replay activated, not even the editor, due to
address conflicts with the SuperCPU or MIDI interfaces! If you want to
turboload M64, load as usual, reset the c64 and select normal reset. Now
type SYS2061 and M64 will start without problems.
